Not sure if it is an outlook or Skedpal issue but I keep getting notifications for my task in my calendar. While I do see a benefit in having said notification, in my case, I find that incredibly distracting (particularly when I receive the 15 min notice and the ontime notice both on my phone and my computers). Any way to deactivate the notification for the Skedpal Calendar?

Notifications are managed by your calendar. Here is a link that might help:9 months, 2 weeks ago ysimon34Participant
Yes but that deactivates all of my reminders. Not just Skedpal’s, correct? I still want to be reminded of my meetings, not of my tasks…9 months, 2 weeks ago SethParticipant
I initially thought it would allow the setting for each calendar. But, it looks like it’s either for all or none.
Given the fact that SkedPal tasks are conceptually fuzzy-planned, I agree that reminders in Outlook are overwhelming – especially if your tasks are scheduled back to back. So, we decided to alter the integration and disable notifications through our integration. This is already done and the next time you update your schedule, there should not be any more reminders for your SkedPal tasks in Outlook.
What if we WANT notifications? Is there a way set a reminder for tasks? I am having to use tasker as a work around.
I hope so, as my tasker work around isn’t proving to be very reliable. This may be a deal breaker for me. I may have to wait until v. 3 comes out.
In case anyone else is looking for this, I wanted to share that I found an app to remind me of google calendar events.
The app is called “Wake me up”.1 month ago AlbionParticipant
I am using Google Calendar and I was able to set default notifications for the beginning of tasks.
However, what I would really like in Pomodoro style is a reminder to stop at the planned end/duration of tasks as well.1 month ago SethParticipant
There are a lot of new functionalities added to the calendar integration. In SkedPal 3, you can choose whether a task should be blocking your time or not. If yes, it’ll sync with your desired calendar – it can be your main work calendar.
In addition, you’ll be able to define notifications. Here is a sneak preview of the new calendar integration.
