Although Christmas has passed, this is my “Santa Claus List” for Skedpal. That is, this are the thing I’d love to have on Skedpal. As any Christmas List, I know that I can’t get everything I want (even if I ware on the “nice” and not on the “naughty” list!)
In no particular order:
a) IFTTT integration. Zapier is good, but pricey. IFTTT is free. Also, Zapier only works with Business Gmail Accounts (not with personal accounts), but IFTTT works with every Gmail account.
b) Yearly tasks: I have many yearly tasks (paying my property tax, for example), and some tasks that have to be done each 3 years (renewing my drivers license, for example). I’d like to have the option to select “each year” or “every ___ years” on the task repeating schedule.
c) Better email integration. Instead of using cryptic emails like 98os1N6272vnmgr85drl8lqcfn@in2.skedpal.com, why don’t use a simple email (email@example.com, for example), and Skedpal can use the “From:” field to assign the task to the correct user. Of course, the user should send the mail from the account he used to sign up to Skedpal.
d) Variable tasks: This was a wonderful thing I had on a very old task manager: You could use a special syntax for variable tasks. For example, you can have a “daily” task, named: “Clean [bathroom|bedroom|kitchen|livingroom]” Since it’s a daily task, the first day it would appear as “Clean bathroom”. Next day, after being checked out, it would appear as “Clean bedrroom”, next day it would appear as “Clean kitchen”, and so forth. After all the instances are completed, it would start again with “Clean bathroom”. This way, you don’t have to create independent tasks for cleaning each part of the house. It can be use for many other things.
e) Dependant tasks: It wolud be very nice to have dependant tasks: tasks that appear some time (2 hours, 1 day, 1 week, etc.) after another task is completed. For example, I have to “pick up laundry” the next day after “Take laundry to the laundromat” gets checked off.
f) Better recurring-sequential tasks (nested): Each month, I have to charge “Customer” (recurring each month), but this task “Charge Client”, has several subtasks: “Create invoice”, “Send Invoice”, “Collect check”, “Deposit check on bank”. I’d like to have sub-tasks in recurrent tasks.
g) Better recurring periods: for example, “Last workday”, “first workday”, etc.
h) Location aware reminders: Since I’m some kind of “freelancer”, I don’t have fixed “work” times or “home” times. It would be nice to have the option of “location aware reminders”, or maybe “location aware time-maps”. For example, if i’m near downtown, get reminded of tasks that I have to do downtown. I live in one city (Playa del Carmen, in Mexico), but some of my customers are in Cancún (30 miles from Playa). It would be nice to have a reminder to “Visit Cancun client” when I’m in Cancún. Or maybe be reminded of the thinks I have to buy at the grocery store when I’m near the grocery store…
i) Web app. Just in case of emergency, when I don’t have my laptop nor my phone, it would be nice to have a web app.
I’m sure I had some other suggestions, will publish them when I remember.7 months, 2 weeks ago SethParticipant
Thanks, guys! Some of these items like improved recurrence (b,e,f & g), dependency (almost d & e), and web app (i) will be part of the early versions of SP 3. Once the SP 3 foundation is ready, we will have a roadmap for making continuous improvements.
@Seth: Any ETA for SP3? Thanks a lot!7 months, 2 weeks ago SethParticipant

Anything planned for quick capture on all platforms? And Quick Rescheduling?
I recently shifted from Google Keep to WhatsApp for the former, just to save mobile storage space.
For the latter, I tried a desktop automation tool which doesn’t really work, and is really slow.
Of course, both solutions are less than ideal.
Any plans for these in SP 3?
