Fantastic! Thanks for the quick reply. Is there any chance that the request I made earlier in this forum topic will be included in that release? That is, not having the comments automatically appended to the task in Asana whenever a task is rescheduled via SP?1 year, 6 months ago TaylorParticipant
Do you have any ballpark projections for when Skedpal 3 will be released? I’m a software developer too, so I understand how release timeframes can slip, unless you’re doing more of an agile fixed sprint/release type schedule. I’m asking because some of my projects in Asana change due dates constantly, due to the tight scheduling we need to be flexible. I know that’s not the ideal way someone should run a project in theory, but that’s our reality at my company. I only have a few days left on my trial, and I love using the software, but if I keep spamming my teammates with comments in Asana, I’m going to have to look elsewhere. That makes me really sad, because I REALLY want to use Skedpal. Can you make a small exception to the feature freeze and add a small option to turn off the commenting? Pretty please?1 year, 6 months ago TaylorParticipant
@Seth, thanks for the quick reply. I hope to someday be a lot less in “crisis-mode” with tight time frames, hopefully with the use of your excellent software to help me schedule my work. I’m afraid I’m not quite there yet, and am still digging myself out of a lot high priority “customers” all crying for my attention simultaneously. But good advice!
When you say the comment won’t be made as long as the “completion date of the plan is not changed”, are you referring to the “Plan for …” or the “Due date” field in the task properties? Or is it something on the Asana side?
To be honest, maybe I triggered it to comment more, as I’m exploring the features, and trying to get the hang of pushing a task to a later scheduled date. I guess I still don’t totally understand the conditions of the comment being made. Is the “planned time frame”, in which the task can be rescheduled, between now and the due date? What if I change the due date, either in SP or Asana?
Thanks for being patient with me. I’m hoping to learn this well enough to teach to my team if everything works out.
