Importing Tasks

You can import your tasks into SkedPal from a Comma Separated Values (CSV) file. This is very useful when you have a large number of tasks saved in a file, and you want to add them to SkedPal without the overhead of typing in all the details.

If you’re using a Mac, please make sure your CSV file is saved in Windows Comma Separated Value format.

To import your tasks:

  1. Log in to https://app.skedpal.com
  2. Click on Import Tasks from the left menu
  3. Download the template CSV.
  4. Add your tasks to the template CSV and save it.
  5. Upload the saved file
  6. Your tasks will appear in your Inbox. You can now organize them into projects.

There are three columns in the template:

Task Title:  Use this column to add your task titles.

Duration (Hours):  Use this column to specify the duration of your task in hours. (e.g. 1.5, 2, 0.5, etc). If you specify the duration in hours, you should not use the next column.

Duration (Minutes): Use this column to specify the duration of your task in minutes.(e.g. 1, 5, 15, 120, etc). Do not use this column if you have already used the hours column.

What about other task properties like project, tag, or plan, or time map, etc ?

Once you import your tasks, they’ll appear in your Inbox view. You can select multiple tasks as shown below, and use the right pane to assign several tasks to a project (as an example) with a single click.
